Group members defend their work!

We had a very busy last week of July before the vacation! Lab members Diana Pereira and Pedro Olim defended their works in this week!

Diana presented her Master thesis entitled “Food preservatives based in bioactive molecules“, which was part of our project “BioP & BioFood – Biopesticides and Food Preservatives from Nanoencapsulated Plant Extracts: Biological Evaluation, Molecular Modelling and Synthesis” (more here), while Pedro presented his undergrad research work on “New semisynthetic derivatives of thymol, eugenol, ginkgolic acid and 6-hydroxyflavanone with enhanced cytotoxic activity“.

They both got 19/20 and we couldn’t be prouder! Well done!
