Brief bio: Ana has a BSc in Biochemistry from University of TrĂ¡s-os-Montes and Alto Douro. Currently, is a MSc student in Quality Control (specialization in Drugs and Medicinal Plants) at Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. During her BSc, she studied the effects of algae ingestion in rats, focusing on their antioxidant activity. This work resulted in a published article, with Ana as a coauthor.

Research interests: Her biggest research interest includes natural products and their bioactive compounds.
